We know that every dollar spent on administrative overhead is a dollar
that could purchase additional groceries. The annual operating budget
is $150,000 per year; most of that money goes to gas for home food deliveries
and to buy food at .18 cents per pound from the SF Food Bank. Although
we hope to expand our staff, John is currently the sole employee; the rest
of the work is done by dedicated volunteers.
The food sorting space is generously donated by Old St. Mary's Church.
